“Upon the Waters” is a skill-building introduction to the popular sports of paddleboarding and kayaking that will build confidence and capability. Open to Girl Scout Juniors to Adults.
Participants will be provided with all required gear. Please wear clothes that can get wet, a hat, and closed toe shoes (no sandals or Crocs). You will also need a towel, sunscreen, bug spray, a filled, reusable water bottle, dry clothes to change into afterward, and a plastic bag for wet clothing.Please bring a snack or lunch to eat between activities.
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. as follows:
10:00 – 11:00 Introduction to Paddleboarding/Kayaking
11:30-12:00 Break – bring a lunch or snack to enjoy
11:30-2 Paddling through the canal systems at Coral Reef Park
